The Institution of Engineering and Technology want to continue to build and share further information with our readers, so please do get involved and tell us about your work experience – you can do this either through getting in touch with us and completing a case study form.
We would like to showcase more examples of work experiences either experienced or which are in practice. By doing this, we can demonstrate good practice that it is beneficial for students to have both practical and theoretical knowledge when entering the work place for the first time. We are interested in hearing from:
- Students who are undertaking or have completed a work experience from anywhere in the UK and further abroad.
- Universities, schools or colleges who collaborate with a partner to provide work experience for their students.
- Industry who collaborate with a university, school or college to provide work experience to future engineers.
If you know of any events, or are hosting one yourself, we will be happy to promote these via social media and on our ‘upcoming events and placements’ page. However, we would like to be able to write a case study on any programme we advertise via our influential social media channels.
We are also looking for companies to advertise the 'Engineering Work Experience for All' campaign. If you are interested in advertising the campaign, please get in contact.
If you want to just try out a work experience event, the IET annually runs Engineering Open House Day which allows parents and children to visit your organisation on a set day and we help you promote it to local schools.
To get in touch about any of these activities, please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
